Since March, our team has supported state and local governments respond to and mitigate the impact of COVID-19. On December 27, 2020, the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act (HEROES) Act, appropriating $1.13 trillion in emergency supplemental appropriations to federal agencies and economic assistance to governments at the state, local, tribal and territorial levels. As part of this Act, Congress allocated $25 billion in direct payments through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program to help families stay in their homes.
