Founded in June of 2015, Metric Consulting, LLC is a privately held, woman and minority-owned disaster recovery firm with offices in Florida and Louisiana. Metric provides comprehensive emergency management planning and disaster recovery operations that focus on mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, including grant and project management, damage assessments, cost estimating, compliance, planning, and plan development focused on the FEMA Public Assistance Program, the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, hazard mitigation assistance, and HUD’s Community Development Block Grant programs.
Metric has helped their clients recover from some of the largest disasters in U.S. history, including Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, and Michael, the Iowa Bird Flu, the Great Floods in Louisiana, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Metric’s staff is comprised of skilled grant managers with experience in FEMA and HUD programs, as well as personnel with vast experience in program and grant management, grant writing, case management, housing assistance, environmental reviews and preservation, and debris monitoring.
With over $2 billion in recovered costs and a 99.9% cost recovery rate, Metric’s federal reimbursement rate is second-to-none. Their knowledge of federal and state level reimbursements spans multiple agencies, regions, and niche services. Metric has provided grant writing and administrative services for over 10 years, including grant application development and grant management for infrastructure development and maintenance, technology, transportation, workforce development, and energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
Prior to 2015, Metric existed as the emergency management division of its partner company, Metric Engineering, Inc. (Metric Engineering) – a Miami-based transportation planning and engineering firm with over three decades of emergency management experience.
